Since its big debut in theaters last year, Twilight changed the lives of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Robert Pattinson, 23, has set a lot of young girls’ hearts on fires. And Kristen Stewart, 19, has become the new Hollywood “It Girl”. They also both become the focal point for the media and tabloid rumors. You will see their pictures splashed on covers of magazines such as In Touch, People, and Ok magazine. There is a lot of gossip and speculation on the Internet as well. But are Stewart and Patterson really dating?

Robert, who’s on the cover of this December’s Vanity Fair, says the two are not a couple. Instead, he laughs off the rumors, “It’s so retarded. We’re characters in this comic book.” Kristen Stewart has become so tired of hearing the rumors that she has added her own humorous twist to them. She told Entertainment Weekly, “I’ve thought about this a lot. There’s no answer that’s not going to tip you one way or the other. Think about every hypothetical situation. ‘Ok, we are. We aren’t. I’m a lesbian.”’

At the moment, neither seems to be true. Kristen Stewart isn’t dating Robert Patterson and isn’t a lesbian. She’s been with boyfriend of 4 years, Michael Angarano. They’ve been together since she was 14 years old. He’s also co-starred with Stewart in the movie, Speak. Michael has had other countless small roles in movies such as Almost Famous, Sky High, and The Forbidden Kingdom. He has also appeared on TV shows such as Will & Grace and 24.

But of course this doesn’t stop the rumor mill from spinning! There have been stories that Angarano is jealous of Robert Pattinson! A pal told E! Online’s gossip insider, Ted Casablanca that Michael stayed close by on the set of New Moon to see if the romance rumors between Stewart and Pattinson were true. “Michael is really insecure when it comes to Rob. Rob and Kristen would have to be very sneaky if they were dating. Everywhere [Kristen] goes; [Michael] now wants to go too. He’s extremely jealous.” Then there are those other stories about Angarano being seen clubbing with another brunette woman. It makes those wonder if Kristen and Michael are really on the outs?

It especially makes anyone wonder since Kristen and Robert have been constantly spotted together by the paparazzi. There are numerous pictures online of the twosome cozying up to each other in Munich, the VMAs, and sporting events. One shot shows Stewart and Patterson holding hands while walking around in Paris. Can you tell me if you think that’s a picture of two good friends hanging out with each other?

Maybe the reason why there are so many rumors about Pattinson and Stewart is because of their undeniable connection onscreen. Just watch Twilight and you’d swear that they were a real couple. (And, you’d believe that Pattinson was really a vampire!) Notice the way they look at each other on film. Watch their body language. You can definitely feel the love and passion between the characters.

Stewart was one of the reasons why the producers chose her to be Bella Swan. The two actors had instant chemistry from the moment they acted together. Patterson told UK’s Total Film magazine, “There’s a natural chemistry going on with Kristen.”

Whether you want to believe it or not, Kristen Steward and Robert Pattinson would make the cutest couple. And the thought of them together would be satisfying to a lot of Twilight fans. It could just be a publicity stunt for Twilight: New Moon. We may never know!
