10 Secrets in New Moon: Revealed by Chris Weitz!
Chris Weitz is the director of one of the most talked about films: New Moon. Recently Weitz revealed ten secrets from the film. Below are those secrets.

Bella and Jacob
The first secret are hidden wolves. Look for the wolf on Jacob’s shirt when him and Bella meet for the first time in the school parking lot. Bella recieves a dream-catcher from Jacob, with a wolf trinket on it. Another hidden wolf is the scene when Carlisle burns his first-aid equipment. There will be an upside down engraved wolf in the shot with the bowl.
The second secret added into the New Moon film is vampire elevator music. There is a scene when Bella, Edward, and Alice are getting in an elevator on their way to see the Volturi. Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, also know as The Bat, is the music playing in the elevator.
A third secret to look for is something Weitz describes as emotional baggage. When Bella is shown looking for the meadow where her and Edward were lying down together, she carries a golden compass attached to her backpack, part of her baggage.
The fourth secret is a speedy switch during the scene when Edward and Bella are arguing and Edward gets out of Bella’s truck. The point was to show Edward moving unbelievably fast, so Rob was actually standing next to the camera, out of sight, while a stand-in double dressed as Rob was in the driver seat. When Edward gets out of the car, it is actually the double, and then Rob stands in front of the camera, which makes it seem like he got there impossibly fast.
The fifth secret is what is said before Jacob and Bella almost share a kiss. He says kwop kilawtey, which in Quileute, translates to “stay with me forever”.
The sixth secret revealed by Weitz is a tower of glower. When Bella wakes up, there is a copy of Romeo and Juliet. On the cover, you can see Volterra’s tower and people dressed in red from the San Marco festival.
The seventh secret is during the wolf fight. The camera was knocked over on purpose when the wolves can charging towards it. The microphone thumps to make it seem as if an actual animal ran into the camera.
The eighth secret is incorporating some of the Quileute culture. Embry and Jared give a high pitched call when they jump out of Bella’s car. Also, there is a drum at the entrance of Emily’s house, which was given to David Brisbin, the production designer, by a Quileute girl.
The ninth secret is the reasoning why the moon appears backwards in the opening title. It was done that way because it is actually scientifically correct.
The final secret in New Moon is the Italian spoken by Aro. When he says “La Tua Cantante”, Aro is referring to Edward lusting for Bella’s blood more than anyone else’s. Later Aro says “Fore … ne il vostro l’uno o altro,” which in Italian, translates to perhaps, nor yours either.
